Our Story

Since 2001, Boab Design has been involved in creating landscapes in Broome and the Kimberley.

  • We’re inherently invested in greening and beautifying Kimberley communities and landscapes. We do this to help clients build outdoor spaces that suit the region’s outdoor way of life.

  • We focus on creating places that are positive, useable, edible and practical.

  • Our project interests are local and natural focused, with our aim to work with endemic plants and local materials.

  • Landscaping is not just about laying turf… we do all sorts of projects including detailed, unique and bespoke project pieces that make up larger construction projects.

Who we are…

We have 20 years landscape construction experience in the Kimberley Region. Some answers to questions we get asked regularly:

  1. What’s your background studies in Steve?

    I acquired my Horticulture trade certificate in 1999 from Murdoch TAFE in Perth, WA.

  2. What got you into this industry?

    An interest and passion for using native plants for domestic landscapes, which wasn’t done at the time.

  3. What was your first project?

    Lots of small residential projects that inspired me to enter the industry, but my first large contract was Lakeside Residential Development in Kununurra in 2008 for LandCorp WA.

  4. How do you work in the wet season?

    Calmly, slowly, with lot’s of water and with a broad hat on.
